Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to what people most often ask about Adoption Evolution and connecting with us.

Adoption Evolution is located at 4343 Scottsdale Rd, Suite 150, Scottsdale, AZ 85251, in the greater Phoenix-Scottsdale metro area. Many programs are also available virtually, so participants from across the U.S. can access our resources and community.
We serve four communities -- each one essential to the full adoption constellation. Adult adoptees navigating identity, grief, and the lifelong process of healing. Birth and first mothers -- women who surrendered a child or children for adoption -- carrying grief, love, and a loss that is too rarely acknowledged or supported. Adoptive and foster parents seeking trauma-informed tools and a deeper understanding of what their children carry. And mental health professionals -- therapists, counselors, social workers, and clinicians -- who want specialized, adoption-competent training grounded in lived experience and integrative medicine.
Adoption Evolution was founded by Dr. Maria Cronyn, NMD DABHM -- a naturopathic medical doctor and board-certified homeopath. Our approach uniquely integrates naturopathic and holistic medicine with trauma-informed care, addressing the mind, body, and spirit of adoption-related healing. The name Evolution reflects our belief that growth and transformation are always possible.
Our programs include support groups, webinars, online courses, books, speaking engagements, and an email community. Each offering is grounded in trauma-informed, integrative principles and serves adoptees, birth and first mothers, adoptive and foster families, and mental health professionals.
